In this post, we are going to discuss Stock Planning, to keep your maintenance on track. Let's break down the stocking guide logic with CTK 👇
So, where do we start with planning?
Let's say, your coverage is 50 SLX units per year. How many maintenance parts do you need per year?
Fuel, Oil, and Air Filters
Each units need basic maintenance of Fuel, Oil and Air Filters yearly or every 3,000 hours. You would then need to replace 6 filters a month. So, it's safe to have 7 filters in stock, and order them periodically not to run out of stock.
Belts, Bearings, and Pulleys
Each belt in the unit has to be replaced every two years, or 6,000 to 9,000 hours. Along with the belt replacements, bearings and pulleys need to be checked. With the rotation of 50 SLX units in your service area, and assuming a constant demand formula, you replace around 2 sets of belts each month.
What about other repair categories?
It is more complex to calculate, as we can't assume the constant demand here. So, to plan for these parts ahead, it's best to refer to your monthly, quarterly, and yearly consumption of required parts for the repairs.
So, how can you see this?
Request for a report of all your purchased items from CTK in the last year, and we will compile an excel report for you in a few days. This can help you see trends in your repairs and plan to stock parts across all categories.

Considering parts delivery times
With smaller items, delivery can be done on short notice, but, delivery of high volume & fragile items can be more unpredictable. Condensers or Panels tend to take longer than 3-4 days to be delivered, as they may be handled a little differently by the shipping providers due to size and fragility.
You can count on us to ship it timely, but consider time margins for your maintenance, and based on your service needs, you can also play it safe by keeping 1 extra stock on hand, to prevent unnecessary stand-down time.
